What's going on at Stinky Pete's Ranch?
ALWAYS All kinds of chaos here at the ranch. Follow our little family of five along as we try to live life as sustainably as possible in daily life, cooking, baking, remodeling, DIYing, traveling, creating, dreaming and raising small humans.
A lot of the focus is on developing our garden for self sufficiency, sustainability i.e. permaculture and enjoyment! So far we have transformed our front yard into a food forest and our backyard into a little outdoor nature oasis complete with a fedge (fruit hedge), lots of edibles, and our very own hill-billy (above-ground) pool. We have failed a lot, but we keep trucking along!
We are in the middle of renovating a 1960's California ranch style house, dreaming, designing, demo-ing and DIY-ing. The kitchen is at about 85% complete... as it has been for about 2 years now.
Our birds continue to grow and we are about to add to our flock. We recently lost our old bloodhound girl, Whiskey, but adopted a street dog named Bear, in all his block head black lab love. He and the birds happily co-exist, though Petey, the barn cat has still not warmed to the idea.
Thanks for joining us in our journey. I hope our shenanigans can keep you entertained!
